A note on mother’s day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard …
PARKING
Onsite parking is not guaranteed. Once our parking lot reaches capacity we will be utilizing a shuttle from The Hounds parking lot to bring guests to and from the Vineyard. Out of safety concerns and at the direction of the SPD, we can no longer permit guests to park off property and walk to the Vineyard; any guests walking on property will be turned away. Guests are also encouraged to carpool or use a ride share app. As always, our parking attendant will be onsite to help with any special considerations.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations are at capacity for Mother’s Day, feel free to come by and enjoy the outdoor space on a first come, first served basis.
All reservations are for indoor tables. We do not reserve any outdoor space. If the weather permits, music may be outdoors. You are welcome to forgo your indoor table reservation and enjoy the grounds outside on a first come, first served basis. Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets in the event our outdoor seating is full (nothing can be staked into the lawn). As reservations are at capacity, tables will only be held for 20 minutes at which time they may be forfieted. We will reach out at the end of next week to reconfirm your reservation.
FOOD
Guests are welcome to bring their own food. We will also be hosting two of our favorite food vendors: The Rolling Tomato pizza truck (arriving at 12pm) and J&R Seafood Market raw bar (arriving at 1pm).
We have also connected with friend & local purveyor Rind & Rennet to offer a selection of their 17 oz and 32 oz cheese & charcuterie boxes available for purchase onsite, while supplies last. You can also shop their website to pre-order a board to be delivered on Mother's Day for your group.
FLOWERS
New this year to our Mother's Day offerings, Wisp Florals of East Haddam, CT will be onsite selling bouquets.
GLASSWARE / PLASTIC CUPS
Saltwater Farm will be using single use plastic cups on Mother’s Day or guests can purchase a SFV logo glass (stemmed or stemless) for $3 to use that day and take home as a souvenir. Alternatively, guests are welcome to bring their own wine glasses (they do not need to be Saltwater Farm wine glasses).
DOGS
As onsite parking is not guaranteed, and dogs cannot use the shuttle, we strongly recommend dogs staying home this Mother’s Day. If you decide to bring your pup, please keep in mind, with the exception of service animals, we cannot have animals indoors.
KIDDOS
While children are of course always welcome at Saltwater Farm, we ask that you keep in mind that Saltwater Farm is meant to be a relaxing, adult environment, especially indoors. We ask that children refrain from running, yelling and ball playing indoors, and keep their shoes on at all times while on the property. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all time. Absolutely NO TREE CLIMBING. Saltwater Farm is a farm, so bugs, bees, ants and goose poop are a part of our natural environment and adults should take precautions as they see fit with their little ones.
